Sometimes I love the Snow!

We are so excited to come home on Tuesday and see you all! We have been trying to enjoy Christmas as much as possible here before we leave and now that Peter is done with school we have tons of time to do Christmas things.
The weekend went as follows:

Heres Peter making the best sugar cookies of all time. Thanks kizzy for getting me the recipe.
The snow has really made it feel like Christmas. No one here puts up Christmas lights so I was really welcoming to the snow when it came.  It made it feel like Christmas.
Heres Peter Sliding on the snow in the empty streets, I get too nervous to slide due to a broom hockey accident.
I think it snowed like 10 inches that afternoon.... thats probably not true but it felt like it.
Here we are out to eat to celebrate everyone being done with school, you would think that they were going to die the way they were talking about their final week at school. What babies, especially you Manasseh no one feels sorry for you!
Well we hope that you all have been enjoying the holidays as much as we have. Oh to top off this Christmas weekend Peter actually  convinced me into opening all of our presents, it was great!
We will see you all in a couple of days!
ps: shelly we must make plans so that I can see you before you leave to Mexico.

I LOVE Having Him Around!

Over Thanksgiving weekend I got maybe a little to used to Peter being around.  I don't know about the rest of you but due to our scheduals we get to see each other for a handful of hours during the week, even our weekend is spent apart!  But last weekend was amazing. It started out with a walk to the duck pond to feed the ducks, they were very thankful for the snack!
Then we had dinner with family and friends, thanks to everyone for the help and for not commenting on the fact that everything that I made was a little "off."
Dinner was followed with a nap and a great drive to Heber to let our bellies rest.  This is Peter and Lachelle at the gas station in Heber. I think diet coke from other cities tastes much better than Provo diet coke.  After the Drive we actually convinced Peter and Manasseh to go see Twilight, this was round two for Lachelle and I. I can't get enough vampire in my life. ps. they both thought it wasn't as bad as they thought it would be.
Then on black Friday Peter and I went up to Salt Lake just the two of us to do some Christmas shopping and see the temple lights.

Needless to say it was a great two days,
Thanks babycakes!

We are so happy for you Summer!

I am super excited to let everyone know that Summer had her baby, Lilee!

This is her, isn't she adorable, I haven't seen her in person but I hear she is a cutie pie and from the pictures I agree.
Summer I can't wait to see baby Lilee and you! I am very happy for you and your family
I think she is beautiful!
Ps thanks for letting me barrow the pictures.

Halloween Fun with our New Camera

We are part of the activities committee for our ward.  We had a pinata, pumpkin carving, bobbing for apples, cookie decorating.  Come to find out the only reason people come to war activities is so they don't have to cook dinner.  All we did was eat candy and chilli, we didn't even break open the pinata.

So we played with my new camera....

Notice how my shirt color changed very fun!

Peter and I enjoying the five alarm chilli I made for the cook off.

This one is kinda just creepy, look at Lachelle's eyes.

Food poison?

So yesterday for lunch we went to Dew, this new sandwich place in provo that we love.  But I don't love it anymore.  20 minutes after I got back to work from lunch my tummy started to hurt.  "Oh i'm just digesting weird."  That was not the case I pukied my guts out for a couple hours and by the time Peter got home around 11pm, I was feeling tons better.  It's sad but I will never have another Dew sandwich.
Ps- Although I am still grossed out by my BBQ pork sandwich, it probably wasn't the pork that made me sick.  It was probably one of the veggies in the sandwich. You usually get food poison from lettuce or other veggies.  Thanks Lachelle for the info.

WINTER...so soon?

That right folks, snow!  Looking at the weather forecast for this week I was filled with sorrow when I saw that Saturday brings snow.  I know to all you Arizona friends this may seem like a joke, but I am not that funny.
I think pictures of real snow flakes are amazing, how do they do it?

The Best Dinner Ever!!!

I am not sure I have told you all about "Bowman Meals" but they are something to be desired. We have enjoyed Bowman meals at his house many times. But he is now one of the chefs at Spark, a new fine dining restaurant right in Provo.  To get nice food around here you used to have to go to Sundance or Salt Lake, that is no longer the case.  Peter and I went with Lachelle and Manasseh, and completely splurged, getting tons more food than we needed.  Still without my camera I am using others pictures, which do the food no justice.

These are just my drink and desert that I got, a mango mohito (i think) and fried pudding with orange corriander sorbet.  But we also got salmon, scallops, short ribs (which might have been my favorite), shrimp (my first taste ever), and tons more food.  Oh yeah and at the end Bowman brought out a smoked hot chocolate with essence of cayenne.  Sounds really weird but it was amazing and made me want to go camping.  Well I am sure that I will get you better pictures soon, Peter is planning a once a month night out to Spark.

Still no pictures, but big accomplishments!

First of all I would like to tell you all, and mostly shelly, that I have finished the Fountianhead.  A great accomplishment in my eyes, cause I am still learning to read.  It was a good book, I think it would have been better if I was a fast reader.  But I am not a fast reader so it kinda just dragged on and ayn rand is very wordy.  anyway read it.

Next story, i was the first person to let Ty-bone Ford cut their hair.  He did a great job.......minus the bangs.  We didnt have quite the dilemma shanna and stacie had when shanna cut bangs for the first time.  Mine are still very long and can fit behind my ears, we cut them together so that they blend in a lot better.  But seriously he did a really good job, my hair is about 2 inches shorter and feels a lot better then it did, but I will never cut bangs again.  Its not me.

"Class it's my new thing."

Peter and I have always been very into tv shows on DVD and on the computer. So when Cicily told me that Beverly Hills was being played on CBS.com I was very excited. I watch it every night before bed. Anxiously awaiting the day when Dylan and Brenda break up. Just look how ugly Brenda is next to Dylan.

But a seriously good show that deals with great messages and morals. Peter Loves it too!

Ps-no more pictures for awhile, sorry!

Well the Dangerfords have had a very eventful week, it was kinda emotional for me.
Monday: I received my official job title and rise. I am the new team lead for the Good Earth in Provo. Really I am an acting manager, I just cant open the safe.
Tuesday: My boss had a seizure, right in front of me and i had to call 911 it was very scary, that was my first time.
Wednesday: We went on a really great day trip with Lachelle and Manasseh to Zion National Park to hike the narrows and cool off a little. It was great  except for the part when i jumped into some really deep water with my camera on my bag and broke the camera, hence no pictures. Also Peter got a job promotion. He is now the new team lead of unit 9. We are just
born leaders us dangerfords. Oh and on the way home we stopped at in and out which is always my favorite treat after a great hike.
Thursday: After work Peter informed me that "I made
a mistake." When purchasing our plane tickets home I made them in the reverse order, so we leave from phoenix to go to salt lake on the 6th. I think I am just really longing to live in gilbert again. Then we went to an amazing show in salt lake.
Keller Williams and Yonder Mountain String Band. I have tried to see keller williams for years, he never came to arizona. At the end of the show a "riot" started. Some idiot

got up on the stage and was being lame, so the security guard picked him up by the neck and body slammed him to the ground. The crowd started throwing garbage and stuff at the security guard, I think he felt bad afterwards. Oh and the funniest some girl got up on stage and tried to stage dive. NO ONE CAUGHT HER, she fell flat on her stomach. It was awesome!

anyway sorry for the lack of pictures but they will come soon enough.

Salt Lake Twilight concert series has been the highlight of our summer thus far. Last Thursday was the first show where the Roots played. Lachelle and I were really excited and moved up to the front quickly. I got really frustrated by the people standing in front of me, a girl with a massive bush of hair and a man that must have been 8 or 9 feet tall. It really hindered my dancing. So after about 2 songs we moved back by Peter and Manasseh. Here we are really upset with our neighbors!

Capitan Kirk Douglas

Doesn't Black Thought look like Kanye in this photo?

So is a sousaphone a type of tuba?
We are very sad that the show is over but we are already very excited for next weeks show,
De La Soul. Be looking forward for those pictures.

Kizzy and Billy finally had a boy!

Look how cute my new nephew, William Ford Karas is!  I cant wait to go to Arizona next week  and see him in person.  I was surprised to see no beard on the new baby, I really thought he would take after his dad.

I have a great Story!

So I work with this girl, Allison, she's  cooky but wonderful. Anyway, we find out that she is in Ty's ward. And to make the story short he found out that Allison pretended to be blind for three months. Having people bring her food and what not. Then after three months of this amazing hoax, she gets up in sacrament, takes off her glasses and says " i am not blind!" All I have to say to this is bravo! That must have taken a lot of time, dedication and skill. Allison you are my hero!

Ps sorry i don't have a picture of this one. Ty and I tried to make it happen but it didn't work out.

Happy Anniversary!

Last weekend we celebrated out anniversary, happy one year! Peter bought me a tent so we wanted to go camping around the area. We ended up getting some great advice to head down to Moab where arches national park is located. We rolled into Moab at about 8 pm assuming we would find a camp site at this place called the Devils Garden. There was no camping to be done. We saw a sign at the park entrance that said "3 sites available tomorrow, go to visitors center at 7:30 to receive a spot." Defeated we go to Wendy's to eat away are sadness with a couple JBC's. We found a hotel for the night, I decided that we should wake up at 5:30 to ensure that we get a spot the next night.
This is peter with our campsite paperwork. he was so happy!

Oh and after Ty's special birthday dinner we headed to the library and it started to snow like crazy. The flakes were so big if you stared up in the sky it either looked very dirty or like you were in a snow globe. I hate the fact that it is april and still snowing, this place is just a tease.

Its my brothers birthday

Ty turned 24 on the 7th of April. Happy Birthday T-Bone. Peter and I took him to the red lobsterfor his first time ever, what a treat. Mostly because peters dad sent us a gift card for it the other day and because to those of us who love him ty is known as lobster. We had to go at like 5:30 in the evening cause peter had to go to some school thing. We felt like a bunch of 80 year olds eating before the sun even started setting in the sky. We really were there with a bunch of geriatrics. Anyway it was great and i am sure glad ty lives in provo. Happy Birthday!

Just to catch you up

This is just to catch you all up on what I have been doing in life. These first two are from Easter. We had a great sleepover with our friends and then an egg hunt in the morning. Us girls hid the eggs, then the boys had to find them. Not even Peter was tall enough to grab the egg we hid in the tree.
This is me Lacy Ford Dangerfield, I recently got a perm! Weird I know who gets perms, but honestly mine does not look like a perm as you can tell. Usually it does look better than this but it is always fuzzy, I just havent done it in a few days. We all know I never do my hair, thats really why I choose this style in the first place. I got my hair done at Paul Mitchell hair school, I thought I would save a few bucks. I had no idea it would shave a few years off my life. Honestly I was there for 5 and 1/2 hours. I thought I was gonna die. I was also there 2 hours after they closed, I felt like the biggest hassle and they were really just rushing me out the door before the perm had time to settle. next time I will fork over the few extra dollars to get it done right. Yes that is right I do believe I will be doing this again.

Shelly and Steve and Bethany just left our house after a great weekend. They were down for conference, we had a great time. We went to some amazing hot tubes that Lachelle told us about, thanks girl your the best. we must go together next time. Pictures will be coming soon, I forgot to take my camera so when shelface sends me them I will post them and tell all the stories. well I will share one story for Lachelle, you know that nasty rag you told us about that you clog the pipe to make it hotter? Ty threw it in my face, what an ass clown.

I am the funniest person I know!

So our whole marriage I have tried to convince Peter that I am funny. Unitl yesterday he was not convinced. So yesterday at work I show up and then find out that our frieght was not coming till noon. So I decide to call peter for a ride and leave and come back at noon. And as you remember I have a boss that hates my guts, so I thought it would be funny to tell peter I got fired when I called him for a ride home. So I did. I didnt take the joke too far, when he picked me up I was already laughing. So his reaction goes as follows. "Son of a B****! I really want to ripe out all of your hair!" His reaction made everything ten times better. I ended up feeling really bad because he almost missed a class and a quiz to comfort his recently fired wife. But my goal was accomplished, he thinks Im funny.

I Hate My Job!

So hating my job is not a new thing. But lately it has become more and more sucky, due to my boss that hates me. I have stolen his friends, or something like that. It feels like Im working at a Jr High. I have started enjoying the small things at work to get me through the day.

3. asking for marshmellow over the intercom instead of saying the employees actual name, marchello.
2. getting the wellness counelors in a twist telling them outragous health claims are real. like eating too much soy products will cause you to grow an extra uterus. or ingesting certain types of metals will give you super human senses.
1. this last one is not a joy it just gives everyone at work something to talk about and ponder how it could possibly be real.
There is this kid who leaves a trail of the foulest smelling poopy stink everywhere he goes. he doesnt just farts as he passes, the smell lingers for minutes. you cant walk in a room where he has been for at least 5 minutes after he has left the area. its like a man baby is working in the store. gross or sad? i cant figure out which.

Its a Birthday miracle!

It was Peter and Emma's (our niece) birthday last Saturday. Doesn't he look so excited to be a quarter of a century old? We spent the day at the children's science museum with his family who had decided to come to Utah to celebrate the day. Surprisingly enough, the museum was an excellent time.

Ps it took me two weeks to figure out how to post pictures with my computer.
